The Excogitating Engineer is an engineer by profession who works to obey God’s command to work, to provide for his family, and to glorify God through a biblical work ethic. His profession is a means to and end. His real passion is for his God and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering as well as a master’s degree from a seminary. He loves to travel and has traveled to approximately twenty countries. He enjoys learning about other cultures, languages, and what God is doing around the world.
To “excogitate” means “to study intently and carefully in order to grasp or comprehend fully.” The Excogitating Engineer uses this blog to flesh out his thoughts in writing using the avatar of the electronic word. The Excogitating Engineer’s musings are random but most often reflect the things that weigh heaviest on his mind. These usually center around the most important and weighty issues involving God, His Word, and His Glory. The Excogitating Engineer also has a passion for his family, his church, and for God’s plan to draw worshippers into His church from all nations. The Excogitating Engineer hopes that you will somehow benefit from and enjoy his excogitations.
Soli Deo Gloria!
I dropped by to look at your blog after your comment on my post. I love that you use the phrase Soli Deo Gloria. The name of my praise band is SDG – which is short for…Soli Deo Gloria! God bless you richly, sir, and your family and your ministry.
Hi! I just received a comment from you on my blog! Thank you very much! Sadly, I am actually leaving on Tuesday to come back to the States. But again, thank you! Prayers are always appreciated and needed here for the people here in Japan! God Bless!
Hello, I just received your comment on my blog, (looks like my comment is like the ones above). I’d like to re-post the piece you did on Aug. 15 if your ok with that. Our blog is about world missions. The persecution of Christians has become a major part of what we post. I have a growing conviction that God is in the process of creating networks of sites to get the message out in spite of our western media and the sometimes complacent western church. Maybe you and I and these other folks commenting are part of something bigger than we realize. God bless you
Feel free to repost, nazmissions. This is just another way we can “remember them.” (Heb 13:3) Blessings.
Thanks for the comment on our blog too! Just wondering if you’ve already discovered the Engineering Ministries International website – emiworld.org – which actually tells about the ministry (whereas our blog is more about our life – which happens to include working with Engineering Ministries 🙂 ). They’re starting to do some projects in appropriate technology product development too . . . it’s pretty neat stuff.
Thanks for your blog and your heart for orphans, some of the “least of these”. As a pastor to folks in healthcare, this is an area close to many of our hearts, too. My ministry aims to invest in healthcare providers so that they, in turn, can invest well in the patients God brings their way.
Hi, nice to meat you. 🙂
